The End

As some of you may have noticed, it’s been a little while since I wrote. For the record, I did keep up on my running through the holidays and prepared myself for the marathon. I took some time off to enjoy the holidays and I hope you did too!
The marathon was a great success-especially for the fact that it was an inaugural race. I was very proud of Neways, volunteers and staff that made such a great marathon possible.

Right before the marathon it started a torrential down pour. I ran the entire marathon drenched and had to run through many puddles. But just like in life, when things come up unexpectedly, you have to just go with the flow. I had trained very hard and didn’t let the rain stop me. I got ninth overall and it was the most beautiful marathon I have ever done. The views were breathtaking and nothing beats running next to the ocean-rainfall or not!
I cannot wait for next year’s race! I have been running during my lunch hours and already plan on beating my time and having an even better event next year. I hope to see all of you there! See you January 10, 2010 in Maui!

My Weekly Tips

Every week I am going to post a new tip or goal. I hope you will join me in either accepting the challenge, or making a goal of your own!

Week 1-My goal is to loose 3 pounds between now and the marathon. I know this will be challenging during the holidays, but I know it is possible if I keep up my exercise, I take my Neways supplements, and I make sure my diet stays full of high protein and low in carbohydrates.

Week 2-I encourage everyone to set goals. Just like everything in life, you have to set goals if you want to achieve greatness. Running is the same thing. You have to set goals, and write them down. Set goals in what you want to eat, how much you want to weigh, how many miles you want to run, and a goal time for how long it will take you to run the marathon. Just like in your Neways business you set goals of how many phone calls you will make, how many meetings you will have, and where you will be in a year from now. Make sure that you are setting goals and sticking to them!

Week 3-Persistence and consistency is the key to achieving your marathon goals and really any goals in life. There will be days that are easier and some that are harder to fit in your exercise goals, but remember, even doing a little is better than not doing it at all. By doing a little bit each day, it will help you form good habits. You never regret exercising, but you always regret not exercising. If you continue to be consistent, you will start to see results in several weeks. This is the same for our business; you can’t start out as a Crown Diamond. Instead, it takes little goals to build up to the big one, with daily, consistent effort. I know you can achieve your marathon and business goals. Keep at it! You can do it!

Week 4-My recent injury reminded me how important it is to know when to say no, when to stop, or when to give yourself a break. Smart runners know how critical it is to rest and to repair. Type “A” people like me who are always on the go have a difficult time with that. Runners perform better when they allow their body to recuperate. It is the same in life; you need to know when to take a break, give attention to your loved ones, or give attention to yourself!! This is also mirrored in business- sometimes you need to not answer emails or take phone calls for a few hours. This is a good thing for you and it also lets your employees or downline a chance to regroup, and distress. Taking a break is critical for everyone's well-being.

Week 5 This week's tip is about encountering opposition and trials. I personally faced opposition because I was so sick. I don't like being sick at all! But, it is important ot remember that when trials arise to keep lucid, and cool. It's good to focus on rectifying the situation than dwelling on the negative. I focused on getting better and instead of my regular exercises; I was still able to exercise my patience. This relates to network marketing because often we get a bunch of "no's". We have to not dwell on that, and remember that every "no" gets us closer to the next "yes". Just like my sickness passed, opposition and negativity will pass if you put your energies on moving forward and attaining your goal.

Week 6 Another tip that I gained from my sickness was that it is important to see the silver lining in things. Things will always get better, but during the frustration you can always look for brighter side of things. For example, even though I hated not being able to run and be well, I was able to have my shin splints completely heal. Now I'm 100% recovered! This probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't gotten sick because I would have kept running on them. Obviously my body was trying to tell me to slow down and I needed the rest. I was also able to do more planning and get organized for when I came back to work. Always look for the positive and a way to turn the situation around. It is the same in life and you can always find the positive in everything.

My Neways Regimen

I wake up at 4:45 am and drink the King's Court (Hawaiian Noni, Maximol, NewVera and Durian)

I then drink 1 bottle of Neways Athletic Super Water

After my various workouts I drink a Pro-Thin Shake and eat an apple

On my way to work I drink another bottle of Neways Athletic Super Water

Throughout the day I make sure to stay hydrated with Neways Athletic Super Water

I also snack on lentils, fruit and other things that are low in carbs and high in protein

I also make sure that several times a day I take Ming Gold, VMM, Cal-Sea-Um, EFA Recovery Plus, Revenol, Omega 3 EPA, and Green Qi
