As some of you may have noticed, it’s been a little while since I wrote. For the record, I did keep up on my running through the holidays and prepared myself for the marathon. I took some time off to enjoy the holidays and I hope you did too!
The marathon was a great success-especially for the fact that it was an inaugural race. I was very proud of Neways, volunteers and staff that made such a great marathon possible.

Right before the marathon it started a torrential down pour. I ran the entire marathon drenched and had to run through many puddles. But just like in life, when things come up unexpectedly, you have to just go with the flow. I had trained very hard and didn’t let the rain stop me. I got ninth overall and it was the most beautiful marathon I have ever done. The views were breathtaking and nothing beats running next to the ocean-rainfall or not!
I cannot wait for next year’s race! I have been running during my lunch hours and already plan on beating my time and having an even better event next year. I hope to see all of you there! See you January 10, 2010 in Maui!
Here are some pictures of the event: ENJOY!
We are so grateful for all of the supporters that came and cheered us on. We have the best distributors in the world!
I was so proud of everyone who finished the race!
It was great to reward everyone who finished the race! I hope to see each of you there next year and to hand you a first place medal!
